Woking Football Club is pleased to announce the return of Alan Judge.
The 35-year-old former Republic of Ireland midfielder rejoins the Cards following a spell as a free agent.
Born in Dublin, Judge came through the Blackburn Rovers academy, not making a league appearance for the then-Premier League club, but successful loan spells at Plymouth Argyle and Notts County saw the latter sign him permanently in January 2011.
Two seasons at Notts went by and Judge re-joined Blackburn in 2013, but struggled to break into the team and was instead loaned out to League One side Brentford. He joined the Bees permanently in 2014 after playing a key role in promotion to the Championship, spending five seasons with the club and playing nine times for his country due to his excellent form.
Three seasons with Ipswich Town followed before a move to League Two Colchester United in 2021. Following a triple rupture in his left knee in December 2022, Judge was ruled out for the remainder of the 2022/23 season.
After being released by Colchester in summer 2023, Judge joined Woking in March 2024 following the completion of his rehabilitation programme. However, he made three appearances following his debut off the bench at Southend before being ruled out for the rest of the season.
Judge has trained with the Cards for much of this season, and now can look forward to getting back on the pitch.
