Dagenham & Redbridge vs Woking
Vanarama National League
Tuesday 11th February 2025
19:45 Kick-Off

Woking travel to a side sitting just two points above them in Dagenham & Redbridge, hoping to get back to winning ways after a first defeat in ten on Saturday.

Neal Ardley will hope that Adam Chicksen returns from illness with his squad short in numbers, as Dale Gorman serves the second game of his suspension whilst Frank Vincent won’t play against his parent club.

Nonetheless, it’s a ground where Woking have a good record, and they’ll be looking to do the double over the Daggers.

Opposition Watch
Ben Strevens ended a 19 month stay at Victoria Road after he was dismissed on Boxing Day following a poor run of results culminating in home defeat to Braintree, despite guiding the Daggers to the FA Cup Third Round with away wins at Crewe and AFC Wimbledon.

Just one win since at Ebbsfleet leaves Dagenham in the relegation scrap, with just a five point buffer between them and the drop zone. Things are far from rosy off the pitch either, with club captain Elliot Justham departing after nine years and 355 appearances, much to the dismay of fans.

Saturday’s 1-1 home draw with Yeovil is something to build on for assistant turned manager Lewis Young, who penned a three and a half year deal as boss in January. Still looking for his first win as permanent manager, Young’s preparations have been worsened by the recent absence of Luton loanee Dion Pereira through injury; the winger has nine goals and five assists in 23 games thus far.

Last Time Out
Charley Kendall haunted his former loan club by securing all three points with the winner ten minutes from time at the Laithwaite back in August.

Last season, the Cards once again took the points at the Laithwaite in April with a 3-2 victory, but Inih Effiong’s late winner gave the Daggers victory with a 2-1 win back in October 2023.
