Club Physiotherapist Steve Snelling today has issued an update regarding the head injury to Jay Gasson last night.
Jay Gasson suffered a head injury (concussion) in yesterdays game v Forrest Green Rovers, when assessed on the pitch he was having difficulty with his vision and had altered sensation in his right arm ? these symptoms worsened whilst being assessed on the pitch and afterwards in the medical room ? as a precaution he was transferred to the Royal Surrey County Hospital at Guildford for further assessment. Shortly after midnight he was given the all clear and returned home. He had a good nights sleep and is feeling a little groggy today.
The club would like to thank Dr Chis Jagger ? the duty doctor, Surrey Ambulance Service, Mick Bullen ? Surrey Red Cross, The Accident and Emergency Department Staff for their prompt help and assistance in dealing with Jay.
