Sport Therapist/Sport Rehab/Physio Internship

Woking Football Club is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to be an active and contributing staff member within the medical department, supporting the first team in the rehabilitation and management of players.

You may be required to be available for select evenings and weekends, but your main availability is required from Monday – Friday.

Location: Surrey Sports Park/Laithwaite Community Stadium.

Travel required: A car is preferred, but optional.

Level/Salary range: TBD.

Position type: Internship (days flexible).

Report to: Dan Rowe, Club Physio.

This opportunity creates a great pathway into working full-time in football and will offer the successful candidate support throughout the year and beyond.

Essential:
• Degree Qualification in Physiotherapy/Sports Therapy/Sports Rehabilitation
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and unsociable hours

Key Responsibilities:
• Work in conjunction with the medical team and first team staff to deliver high-level care to first team players
• Assist with players' treatment and testing, both in the gym and on the pitch
• Maintain excellent communication with full-time medical staff to maintain exceptional standards in player care
• Deliver rehabilitation sessions to small groups and individuals
• Take part in opportunities for further CPD training
• Maintain a professional appearance and approach to club duties at all times

Preferred Skills:
• An understanding of gym-based rehab
• Ability to perform manual therapy such as Massage

Additional Notes:
Successful clients will be able to attain their ITMMIF or ATTMIF first aid qualifications, as well as support for any further opportunities that clients seek.
