Woking Football Club is delighted to announce that current Football Director, Phil Ledger, will be appointed Life President.
Mr Ledger?s appointment comes in recognition and reward for his life-long service and dedication to Woking Football Club. As an ex-player, he made over 100 appearances for the Cards in the early 1950s before becoming Secretary in 1967. He has served the Club in almost every capacity, including Chairman.
On top of his services to Woking FC, Phil has been a Director of the Football Conference for most of Woking?s time in the league and served the Surrey FA for some 20 years. Two of the many other services he has done in the community have included being a Magistrate for 25 years and is a Governor at Westfield School.
Speaking of becoming Life President, Phil commented: ?I?m delighted by this appointment. It is a great honour to be recognised in this way by the Club.?
