FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round Replay

The Cards swept through to the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Cup (at home to Maidstone United on 10 October) with an ultimately comfortable win over a resilient Hythe Town this evening.

Gez Sole grabbed two goals, including a penalty, while substitute Ola Sogbanmu (pictured), a 17 year-old Academy player, had a dream first team debut, with two expertly-taken goals. Sam Sloma curled in the fifth and final goal.

2-0 up shortly after the interval, the Cards were pegged back by an excellent header from Town’s Dave Cook before three goals in the closing stages finally broke the Kent Premier League side’s resistance.
