The Youth side put on a great performance this evening at The Valley, pushing their hosts all the way after being unfortunate to go 2-0 behind early on in the game. Very soon after the break Ola Sogbanmu (pictured) pulled a goal back but Charlton responded quickly to restore their two-goal lead. The young Cards fought magnificently till the final whistle, though, hitting the woodwork twice before the end.
