Fans Man of the Match Vote

8th December 2010

Fans Man of the Match Vote WOKING Football Club supporters now have the chance to vote for the man of the match from within the ground at Kingfield and win a pair of match tickets for the price of a normal text!

The Cards have teamed up with Synergize IT to give you the chance to pick your very own man of the match – in addition to the sponsors vote.

The trial which will run at the games against St Albans, Havant & Waterlooville and Boreham Wood, will see the vote lines open from kick off until the final whistle. The vote result will be announced over the tannoy and one person from the entrants – picked at random by computer – will get a pair of tickets to the next match.

The cost to vote is the price of a standard text. The aim of the trial and all of the texting competitions is to build up the club’s marketing database, which will give the club a new avenue to contact supporters with special offers, promotions and club updates.

Commercial Manager Dave Riche said: “We already have a large database of e-mail addresses to contact people within our fanbase, but the mobile phone is something most people have with them all the time and it is a direct way to get people involved and spread the word about the football club and other events we are running.

“Initially this is a trial, but so far it has been popular and with the man of the match vote it costs the price of a normal text which a lot of people have on inclusive packages.

“Everyone always has their opinion on who the man of the match should be – well now is your chance!

“We will also be running another premium number competition, next week, which had a great response in November and that gives people the chance to win a great prize for the cost of just over £1.”

If you do not wish to receive marketing information you should add the words “NO INFO” after your vote selection. If you have any further problems or queries you can contact Synergize IT Customer Services on 020 3368 6858.
