Boost the Budget!

Brian Caffarey - 14th April 2011

Boost the Budget! Please remember to bring your completed Boost the Budget Standing Order form to Saturday’s game!

There has been a very encouraging response from Woking fans to the launch two weeks ago of The Cards Trust’s Boost the Budget scheme, which enables supporters collectively to make a substantial addition to next season’s playing budget. Some 80 fans have already joined the scheme, but the target is to attract 200 regular contributors by the beginning of next season. So, please join the scheme if you possibly can afford to do so and help Garry Hill and Steve Thompson build a successful side for next season.

The Standing Order form can be downloaded from the Club website www.wokingfc.co.uk or the Trust’s website www.cardstrust.co.uk or can be picked up from the Club Shop.

The key elements of the scheme are:

Aim: To raise a minimum of £24,000 in season 2011/2012 to augment the Club’s playing budget.

Details of scheme

1. Commitment to donate, by standing order, a minimum of £10 a month to The Cards Trust.

2. Money donated to be used by The Cards Trust solely to finance the purchase of, and future capital contributions on, Club shares.

3. Shares to be held in the name of The Cards Trust.

4. The Club’s revenue from share purchase to be used to augment the playing budget.

5. A monthly prize draw to be made for regular contributors.

6. Scheme formally launched on 2 April 2011 with payments to start from May 2011.

If you’re coming to Saturday’s game, please remember to bring your completed Standing Order form and hand it in at the Club Shop. Otherwise, please post it to the Club Shop for the attention of Alan Barnes. If you decide to set up a Standing Order on line, please let Alan know the details. His email address is truegritagb@aol.com
