Following the late penalty and goal celebrations during last Tuesday's match against Dartford, several players from both sides were involved in a brief confrontation in front of the Leslie Gosden Stand, before play resumed. At this time, a male entered the field of play from behind the goal and attempted to get involved in the situation. This is not acceptable under any circumstances. Stewards moved quickly to remove the individual from the ground. Although Woking went on to claim the points, this victory comes at a cost - that of an FA inquiry where the club has now had to answer to serious charges of misconduct.
The club's behaviour policy is clear and this fan (who is not known to club officials but is seen in the photo below), is no longer welcome at Kingfield. Woking FC urges anyone with information about the identity of this person to contact Peter Jordan, Director of Operations, in strict confidence.
Woking FC is now under close scrutiny and calls upon everyone connected with the club to uphold the best standards of behaviour and language, at home and away, exercising control and restraint where needed, in the best interests of the club.
