Alexander Jarvis and Blackbridge

8:28am, Sat 10th Mar 2018
Following an article that has appeared in The New York Times, the Board of Directors wish to make clear:

1. As we have repeatedly said, including at the club AGM, Blackbridge introduced us to an investor who will secure the long term financial future of Woking FC, playing at Kingfield. Alexander’s involvement on this project ended at the start of the present season, and he has received no financial payment from the club for his work.

2. The small paragraph in The New York Times on our club was inaccurate, misquoted and out of context from two brief conversations.

3. Everyone on the Board has worked tirelessly on this project since September 2016 for no personal gain.

We are all staying focused on seeing this through to completion, and until final agreements have been reached we are unable to comment further.

The club continues to operate normally with business as usual.
