Woking v Watford - Ticket Information

1:59pm, Fri 7th Dec 2018
Prices

Following widespread consultation and also being cognisant of the extensive debate on social media, Woking Football Club is delighted to announce that ticket prices for the FA Cup third round tie against Watford on Sunday 6th January will be:

Adults - £20
U16 - £10
Disabled as above but including carer

There will no additional charge for seating.

The exciting news that the game will be screened live on television, with the additional revenues that this will attract, has enabled the club to strike a sensible balance between having to increase prices to cover additional costs such as ticketing and stewarding and the obvious desire to generate much needed additional income.

We also hope that the simple two tier pricing will greatly simplify the ticketing process itself and therefore reduce the time supporters spend queueing for tickets.

Allocation

The club fully recognises that whilst we want to ensure as many as possible of our regular supporters are able to access tickets, the system of allocation needs to be both fair and simple and it is inevitable that it will not be possible to please everyone.

Whilst we have concluded that Season Ticket holders, Woking Football Club shareholders, Cards Trust members and Junior Cards will given priority (one ticket per qualifying category up to a maximum of 2 per individual), further consideration will be given to allocation of all remaining tickets at Monday’s Board Meeting and a further announcement on this will be made on Tuesday 11 December.

Unfortunately it will not be possible to allocate specific seats to existing season ticket holders who have a designated seat.

Half Season Tickets

With dates for future home league fixtures having been severely disrupted by the postponement of the games against Welling, Dartford and Hemel Hempstead (none of which have yet been rearranged), we have only played 8 home league games to date and are not therefore clear when the half year falls!

In light of this we have decided to make half year season tickets available to purchase from the club shop from Monday 10 December. These will be priced at £120 for adults and £100 for Concessions (over 65) and will be valid from the home game against Hampton and Richmond on Boxing Day and will therefore cover our remaining 13 home league games. The Half Year Season Tickets will include a voucher which entitles the holder to a priority ticket for the Watford game. Other categories of Season Ticket are suspended until after Christmas. A separate post with application details will be put up on the website shortly.

Ticket Distribution

Tickets are presently being printed and discussion with the relevant authorities regarding ground capacity / segregation requirements are on-going and will hopefully be concluded by the middle of next week.

It is therefore anticipated that ticket distribution will begin during the week commencing 17 December. Again there will be a further announcement on this next week.

Communication with the Club

The club is in the process of setting up a dedicated phone line and e-mail address for the purposes of handing enquiries regarding ticketing which will be made available as soon as possible – though on line purchase of tickets will not be possible.

Once again, we would ask for your patience in not phoning the club for further information until the dedicated line is advertised - though we do intend to set up an information desk before and after the Maidstone game on Saturday 15 December in the Cardinals Bar and also intend to issue regular updates on arrangements for the game here on the Woking Football Club website.
