Grego-Cox Signs Contract Extension

Woking Football Club is delighted to announce that Reece Grego-Cox has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract extension.

The forward, 26, has signed a new deal which runs until the end of the 2024/25 season.

Grego-Cox first played for the Cards during the 2017/18 season, and re-joined in the summer of 2022. He has featured at youth level for the Republic of Ireland.

Reece has netted 9 times in just 16 League appearances for the Cards this season, and is expected to return to action in March.

“I am absolutely delighted to extend my stay at a Club that is on the up,” Grego-Cox commented upon signing the deal.


“We are all, obviously, delighted that Reece sees his future here with us at Woking,” said Manager Darren Sarll.

“The Club have been incredibly brave, bold, and ambitious in extending Reece’s contract for the length they have. It shows a new way of thinking, and a new professionalism. It shows a commitment to trying to retain the level of performance and player capability for as long as possible.

“I think this is a huge step made by John and Drew’s vision and ambition, and Reece will be a huge player for this football club over the next two-and-a-half years.

“The transition Reece has made from almost retraining his natural attributes as a wide player to come back as a centre-forward, where he first rose to prominence, shows his ability to receive and implement coaching and information. To me, we’ve seen a happy, fit Grego-Cox for the first time in a few years.

“If Reece can continue, once fit, that upward trajectory then there’s no doubt to me that we have a Football League centre-forward at our Club,” added Sarll.
