Loanees
Winger Tyreke Johnson, on loan at Chelmsford City, was a nominee for man of the match on the club’s Twitter after an inspired performance against National League South play-off rivals Worthing, as the Clarets ran out 4-2 winners to go fourth in the league.
Tyreke has so far scored one goal and recorded several assists in six games, as he looks to help fire the Essex club into the National League.
Academy
Meanwhile, in the U19 National League Academy South division, Woking U19s beat Hampton and Richmond U19s 4-0 this afternoon at Woking Park, whilst the Woking U19 B side were defeated 6-1 at Eastleigh U19 Yellows in the U19 National League Division E.
Woking’s U23 academy side were defeated 4-2 at Chippenham Town on Friday night but have a chance to bounce back tomorrow (Thursday 23rd March), when they host Met Police at Knaphill FC, kick-off is at 7:30pm.
Woking’s Under 18 academy side are currently 2nd in the Isthmian Youth League, and a last-minute Ben Mitchell equaliser secured a 1-1 draw at 4th place Met Police, to keep the Cards unbeaten. The Young Cards are at home to Aldershot Town U18 in a local derby at Woking College tomorrow, kick off is at 7:30pm and entry is free.
Women
Woking FC Women may have finished their league season, but a Southern League Chairman’s Cup semi final awaits on Sunday 2nd April, as the Cards look to end the season with silverware. The game kicks off at 2pm at Woking College, entry is free, so why not come down and show your support!
However, the Women’s Development team are still playing, and following a 1-1 draw at Sutton United Reserves, they are back at home to face AFC Acorns Reserves on Sunday at 2pm at Woking College, entry is free.
