Christmas Project 2023

For the past 15 years, Christmas has been a time when the whole of Woking Football Club pull together to help people less fortunate and facing tough times.

Fans, players, management, the board, staff, Cardinals in the Community and the Cards Trust - together, we can all make a difference.

Please give as generously as you can and, if you are a taxpayer, Gift Aid adds 20% to every donation. The appeal closes on Monday 11th December and the initial target is £1,500. Overseas donors can all also contribute.

There are several main outlets this year:

Hospital Visits
The players take time out to visit the children’s wards at St Peters and the Royal Surrey County Hospital in the week starting 11th December. Children get great gifts, the ward gets ‘big ticket’ items, families are encouraged. There is always a lot of laughter but also a few tears as lasting memories are made. We are now a much valued fixture at the hospitals at Christmas time

Woking Foodbank
It is a key time for the hugely valued Woking Foodbank to encourage families but also build stocks for the winter months.

Jigsaw
A local charity (associated with The Lighthouse) that gives vouchers to struggling families buy a few little Christmas gifts for their young children

Hampers
If we are aware of any people with specific needs we will deliver hampers to encourage them

Any surplus will be allocated 100% to Cardinals in the Community activities throughout the year.

Food donations for the Foodbank can be left at the club reception up to Friday 8th December. The list of requests is below:
