Woking Football Club Women can confirm that our Southern Region Women’s Football League Cup First Round tie against Ascot United Women will be replayed.
After review from the league’s management committee, it has been determined that the match was not concluded within the laws of the game and has now been voided.
Cup Competition rule 6 reads:
“The League Cup and Chairmen’s Cup Competitions shall be on single match basis. If any match results in a draw after 90 (ninety) minutes play, the team qualifying for the next round shall be decided by the taking of kicks from the penalty mark.”
A new date will be decided by the league’s fixture secretary in due course, subject to appeal.
