Marlon joined Darren Sarll's coaching staff at the start of the 2022/23 campaign following five years working in Saudi Arabia. He enjoyed a stellar playing career in the Football League, making more than 450 league appearances for the likes of Burnley, Middlesborough, and Sheffield Wednesday. Upon his retirement in 2008 he went into both media and coaching work, through which he has also held roles at Barnet and Scottish club Motherwell.
