Woking Football Club is delighted to announce that Nathan Baxter will be joining on a season-long loan from Chelsea from the 1st of July.
Nathan, 18, is a goalkeeper at Chelsea, currently on a three-year contract with the Blues and wanted to go out on loan for a full season to experience men’s competitive football. Nathan won an FA Youth Cup winner’s medal in 2015/16, and spent the second half of last season on loan at Vanarama National League side Solihull Moors, keeping 6 clean sheets in 17 league matches.
Nathan on signing on loan with the Cards: “I’m here for a full season, I think it’s important when you come to a club that you fully commit to it. I want to show people that I can put together a full season of consistent National League performances. It’s a really exciting club to be at and I hope we can finish as high as possible.
Anthony Limbrick commented: “Nathan is a highly regarded goalkeeper who impressed me on loan at Solihull in the second half of last season. After speaking to Chelsea, they agreed to send him to us over other options he had. I'm delighted to have Nathan here for the season and great to have a relationship with a football club like Chelsea.
We welcome Nathan to the club!
We’ll have an interview with Nathan on our social media later today.
