Commercial Director, Mick Livesey, updates supporters on what's happening at the Laithwaite Community Stadium.

The cold mornings and dark nights are well and truly here now... but, you know what, there is plenty to be upbeat and optimistic about when we think about our beloved Football Club.

I have just returned from a week away, back in my native Lancashire; sometimes you can be too close to something to see it clearly, it can mean so much to you it clouds your judgement.

I can tell you now, stepping back and looking in, I am so proud of the work we are doing at the Club. OK, we may not be in the play-offs, but that was always more hopeful than realistic; it does not mean we should lose hope, though, because miracles can and do happen in football all the time, ask anyone at Sutton United.

The Laithwaite Community Stadium is 100-years-old in June, but in terms of this team both on and off the pitch we are so young, in human terms, we are not even walking yet.

We need to grow up, we need to mature and we need to make so many changes. The only thing I can promise people is this; we have the desire and appetite to change, we are hungry for success and we are prepared to work so hard to get it. I believe we have the right people at this Club to take us forward, starting with our CEO, John Katz, all the way down to all our brilliant volunteers.

I am so pleased to welcome St. Georges Heating and Plumbing to the party, one of our newest sponsors, you will see their branding when you enter the stadium, pitch-side and in the programme. They are our match sponsors for this weekend’s upcoming game against Wealdstone and I would also like to thank RAMS FM who continue to support us and are the ball sponsor. We have opportunities for both match and ball sponsors for the Yeovil Town match if you are interested.

We have fifty-percent of the season left, so let’s finish strong and make people proud of the Club. Off the field, we are working on completely revamping our commercial offering for the 2022/23 season, be prepared to be wowed, we aim to be the best in the league in terms of what we offer and how we support our commercial partners. This season is a huge success commercially, but I only joined in May, it was hard to put my own stamp on things; next season fills me with HUGE excitement, but make no mistake I expect us to have plenty to cheer before we get there.
